The American Scientific Affiliation (ASA) is a fellowship of men and women in science and related disciplines, who share a common fidelity to the Word of God and a commitment to integrity in the practice of science.
Founded in 1941 out of a concern for the relationship between science and Christian faith, the ASA is an association of men and women who have made a personal commitment of themselves and their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who have made a personal commitment of themselves and their lives to a scientific description of the world. The purpose of the ASA is to explore any and every area relating Christian faith and science.
The journal Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith is one of the means by which the results of such exploration are made known for comment and criticism by the Christian community and by the scientific community and for their benefit.
The homepage of the ASA is http://network.asa3.org
I heartily endorse the aims of the ASA, but my own opinions must not be imputed to the ASA, and I may not share some opinions of ASA members.
